Successful International Week on Global Business

The International Week at the Gengenbach Campus (Oct. 23-27, 2017) hosted lecturers from different European universities, who gave exciting guest lectures to students of the Department of Business Administration and Industrial Engineering and exchanged views on various research projects with Offenburg University professors.

One of the highlights of the International Week was the Erasmus Day with a panel discussion on "Erasmus and European education policy and its significance for the economic region Ortenau."
The discussion took place with State Secretary Volker Schebesta, MdL, Dr. -Ing. Martin Herrenknecht and Dr. Henning Meyer from the University of Cambridge and was moderated by Prof. Andreas Klasen. The speakers pointed out repeatedly how important abroad experiences are in today's globalized world.

At an information fair, students, staff and professors learned about the partner universities participating in the Erasmus program, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. Students reported on their stays abroad, guest lecturers from Finland, Great Britain and Spain, among others, presented their universities, and the International Office advised students interested in studying abroad on financial and organizational issues.
