IT-Supported Process Management

Prerequisite

Basic IT

Teaching methods Lecture/Lab
Learning target / Competences

Students will recognize the central importance of IT as a link between the strategic and operational levels in modern businesses. They expand on this insight in case studies on the various aspects of business process management. Students will apply BPMN to model business processes. They integrate existing or create their own services (in the context of service-oriented architectures) so that processes can be (partially) automated on a workflow engine. In doing so, students learn how to analyze and, if necessary, optimize the performance of processes.
