- Basics: International financial markets and regulation
- Corporate Finance: Investment decisions, financial management and financial analysis in an international environment
- International methods of payment and trade finance
- Complex financing structures: Structured finance, asset backed financing and project finance
- Trade risk management: Political and commercial risks
The students learn the independent analysis of questions related to international financial management, in particular the relevance of global financial markets as well as the functioning of capital market instruments. They understand the importance of regulation. Students develop an understanding of fundamentals of investment decisions and corporate financing in an international context. They are familiar with payment terms in foreign trade and develop the ability to solve questions related to trade and export financing. Students also gain knowledge of structured finance, asset backed transactions and project financing. They know basic models for analysing and insuring country and buyer risks.
