Record at the Recruiting Fair

Every year the recruiting fair of Offenburg University reaches new records: This year students could inform themselves at 138 stands about jobs, internships, practical semesters and theses.

"The recruiting fair has continued to grow this year and has developed into one of the largest events at the university. More than 130 stands prove the immense interest of companies and research institutions in our students and graduates. With our Bachelor's and Master's degree courses, they are well prepared for the upcoming tasks in companies and society," emphasizes Prof. Dr. Andreas Christ on the occasion of the new exhibitor record. As building B is being renovated, for the first time, the recruiting fair took place in a large tent. Around 3000 students found their way to the campus to find out about their career prospects, make initial contacts with  companies and listen to lectures on how to get started. At the recruiting fair, which takes place once a year, students can make important contacts with potential employers. The supporting program was particularly popular this year. Students were able to take application pictures or have their application folders checked free of charge during the entire exhibition period. The highlight was the performance of Joey Kelly, who spoke in the fully occupied D-001 on the topic "No limits - how to achieve my goal". The musician, extreme sportsman and entrepreneur is known through the pop band The Kelly Family and today tours from stage to sports event. His résumé: Will, setting goals, endurance and team spirit - and less talent - lead to success, both in sport and at work.
