Upon successful completion of this module, the student will be able to: • understand the functions and the relationship of the main building blocks of a modern receiver including RF processing, modulation, demodulation and digital baseband processing • implement a basic simulation chain of a digital communication system • implement a software defined receiver in Matlab • understanding the principle and types of automotive radars • being capable to understand the advantages of radar compared to other technologies • being capable to know the applications and functions of current and future automotive radar systems
